As requested by mCrAez, here's what my kit looks like now.

-2 degrees camber upfront, 0 at the back

Here's what I've done with my kit so far...

-3Racing Aluminum Adjustable Oil Shocks (with medium springs and #500 medium Tamiya oil)

-3Racing Front One Way

-Adjustable Upper Front and Rear arms

-TT01D lower arms

I changed the shocks' position so now the front shocks are angled a bit more than usual and the rear shocks are somewhat in an upright position, this made the front of the kit have more grip than the rear allowing me to counter-steer a little bit more than usual, once I change the front springs for a softer pair I might be able to do more.

One more thing, I haven't been able to work on the Advan Kurata 86 since I don't have the money yet for the body and stickers.

I'll be posting pics of my kit when I have the time probably tomorrow, for now I'll leave a pic that I took in GTPSP...

Hey guys

This will be my project this summer, I'm telling you right now it will not that be accurate since no one (yet) has made a stock AE86 Trueno/Levin body shell but hey, all I need are the decals seen there and the plate number and that's it!

Will keep you guys updated more frequently this summer so stay tuned! If there's anyone who's interested in this hobby leave a comment and your yahoo messenger/msn id and we'll talk about it (^^,)

UPDATE!! (^^,)

I replaced my front differential with a Front-One-Way which turns the normal brake effect into a hand brake effect (only the rear wheels brake), this makes initiating drifts a whole lot easier! I still have to get used to the under-steer though, that is it's only con...

I also installed a set of 24mm wide drift tires on my 26mm wide wheels, I sure hope the rims don't take any hits or else xD

I recently bought a set of Aluminum Oil Dampers and installed them on my kit, now I have "shock absorbers" which are clearly better than the stock dry friction shocks that came with my unit, what's more I am able to change the dampers to a 3 hole piston type making them more soft (compared to the stock 2 hole piston which is harder)

I'll just leave some pics of the dampers equipped...

RC Part 2

After a day of making the chassis and another day of painting the shell, I'm proud to present to you guys, my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X!

I chose the color black because... I like black xD, anyway... I took it for another run in UST with the lights on and all I can say is "wow!" This isn't drift tune yet, I still need to replace the suspension as the ones I have are just dry friction shocks which have little dampening effect, for the tires, I'll take a look at the PVC pipes that are being used as replacements for aftermarket drift tires, I'll also ask someone from the PRCD forums if the HPI tires and rims can be used on this model (hopefully those can be used because the TE37 rims would fit this vehicle nicely).

The motor is fine, it is fast enough to cause over steer though I still need to change the suspension and make use of a front one way to make this happen easily...

There's a whole lot of stuff that needs to be done here but hopefully I'll be able to finish this in time for summer drift sessions! :D

Hey guys! Been a while since I posted anything worth mentioning here...

Yesterday (December 27, 2009) I bought an RC! It's from Tamiya, the chassis is a TT-01 Type E with a Mitsubishi Evolution X shell, me and my dad completed the whole chassis last night the only thing left to do is to paint the shell and add LED lights. I took it for a test run

around UST and it ran great! Except it wasn't drifting, I haven't tuned it yet but I'll get there soon...

From now on this blog is about RC racing/drifting! I'll end this post with a few pics :D
